If you’re putting a lot of energy into promoting your blog, then it’s in your best interest to do everything you can to make your visitors stick around once they find you. Having great content that is readily accessible is essential to keep them around for the long-term, but first impressions do count, and having a nice theme can really help you get noticed.
I spend way too much time looking at themes, I’ve got at least 50 setup on my laptop with a local test copy of Wordpress, and if I see something that looks interesting it’s not much hassle to download it and put it through some paces.
The Evolution theme for Wordpress is one that I stumbled on a couple of days ago and it is very quickly becoming my favourite Wordpress theme… and yes, it’s completely free, despite being much better than a lot of premium themes that I’ve seen.
It’s got classy web 2.0 looks with 3 different colour themes to choose from, has native support for widgets, prominent spots for RSS/email subscription sign-ups… it’s one of the most elegantly coded Wordpress themes I have seen and customising it is a breeze. If you like two column themes, then this one is right up near the top of the pile when it comes to quality.
If you would like to see a demo of this Wordpress theme in action, Blogging Tips have put up an Evolution Theme demo page for you check out.
I’ve already started to customise this theme to work on some of my sites… in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it shows up here on Marketing-SEO.com in the near future too. If you’re looking to spruce up your blog a little, the Evolution theme for Wordpress is one that you should definitely check out.

I’ve used this theme and can say that it is very good and professional look :D
Glad you like the theme Martin. Let me know if you need any help customizing it :)
Thanks Kevin, you guys have done a great job with it - I haven’t needed to customise too much at all, I’ve changed the header to add some graphics for a logo and another set of div styles similar to the about div to hold some other non-widget sections in the sidebar, but that’s about all I need I think… I usually like to tear most themes apart a lot more than that, lol
