Twitter seems to have exploded over the past few weeks, and it’s little wonder considering prominent bloggers such as Darren Rowse, Daniel Scocco and John Chow have all blogged about their experiences on Twitter lately.
It’s also proving to be a great way to promote a little interest in your blog and get some link love from some really popular sites as you can see from some recent expirements on Problogger and JohnChow.com.
The thing I really love about Twitter, is that you don’t need to be a power user to benefit from it. I’ve met so many wonderful people on Twitter, many go out of their way to help and it is so easy to feel as though you are contributing to the conversation. Once you get about 10-20 active followers, you’ll be having fun in no time and networking like never before. If you’ve never really been involved with social networking before, then Twitter is a great place to start.
Here’s a few tips I’ve found for growing your Twitter following when you’re first starting out:
